'Midnight's Martyr' 1

Well, this is my first ceramic sculpture. lil wolf dude.

He stands about a foot tall, and weighs a few lbs.

I think I'm getting better!

I really liked doing this, it had me really excited to work on him everyday. the hand building only took me a few days in class. Hope you guys like it!

Process: White clay. Textured using a pin tool. While still wet, black engobe was applied to the nose, ears, and neck. White engobe was applied to the the teeth. Black and chocolate brown underglazes were applied, all over the fur, then fired. Black and red stain was applied, clear glaze was put lightly on the nose, teeth, lips, and eyeline to appear damp, but not shiny, then refired.
