Artisan Crafts / Metal Work

The idea behind my artwork is sustainability.... reduce, reuse, and recycle. The less we have in the landfills, the better! All of my artwork is make from 100% recycled materials - materials that were on their way to a life sentenced to a landfill.

these contrasting lilies stand about 12 inches tall. this is one of my favorite peices so far - im so bummbed that the photos dont do it justice. the shine of the silver reflects instead of standing out. :/

anyways. the rockstar can is flat/matte black, while the black flower is glossy. i like it.

The first thing I thought when I saw this thumb was: "TUXEDOS!

!!" And then I imagined soda-can lily corsages given at prom, and wondered if that was a health hazard for the edges. XD;;;

I like the contrast, too.

But... if the rockstar can is matte black, obviously these were not made out of it... so........... Now I wonder what they were made from? XD;

And the close-up, you can see just how reflective that silver is.

Looks great, imo.

I like those. The black and silver looks so nice. ^^
And it's ok if the picture doesn't do it justice. Just means the thing in person is much more impressive.
